Pakistan International Airlines fliegt ab Sommer 2017 nach Leipzig/Halle

Die Pakistan International Airlines(PIA) war nach einigen Jahren Pause nun wieder auf der ITB präsent. PIA wird ab Sommer 2017 zweimal wöchentlich von Lahore(LHE) über Leipzig/Halle(LEJ) nach New York(JFK)fliegen. Herr Syed Qamar Maqbool berichtet, dass für diese Verbindung eine Boing 777 in einer zwei Klassen Konfiguration zum Einsatz kommen wird. Zur entpannte Anreise nach zum Flughafen Leipzig/Halle haben die PIA Flugpreise bereits Rail&Fly mit der Deutschen Bahn inklusiv. Die Anreise mit den attraktiven Bahn-Verbidnungen, so Inga Backhaus (Vice President Marketing) vom Flughafen Leipzig/Halle sind ein deutliches PLUS. Von Leipzig oder Halle erreicht man die Flughafen-Bahnhof, der direkt unter dem Termial liegt in rund 15 Minuten.

Pakistan auf der ITB 2017

Vom 08. bis 12. März 2017 fand in Berlin die 51. ITB, die größte Tourimusmesse der Welt statt. Pakistan war mit der Region Gilgit-Baltiatsn auch dieses Jahr dabei, um dem Publikum sein vielfältiges touristischen Angebot zu präsentieren. Am Stand 113 in Halle 5.2a waren u.a. vertreten:

  • Nanga Parbat Adventure
  • Karakorum Adventure
  • Asian Gateways Pakistan

Wie im vergangen Jahr, konnten die Aussteller auch 2017 in zahlreichen Gesprächen mit Fachbesuchern und Endkunden für Land Pakistan begeistern.

Der erste Sightseeing Bus Lahore's wurde heute eingeweiht

Am 25. November 2015 wurde von der Tourism Development Cooporation of Punjub (TDCP) in Lahore, der Hauptstadt des Punjab, der erste Sightseeing Bus in Betrieb genommen.

Die Route des Sightseeing Busses umfastt 34 Stationen und führt unter andem am Punjab Sation, Zoo von Lahore, Punjab Assembly, Lahore High Court, Cathedral Church, Lahore Museum, Punjab University, Allam Iqbals`s Tomb, Badshahi Moschee, Minar-e-Palistan und dem Lahore Fort vorbei.

Den ersten Gästen wurde eine feierlicher Empfang beschehrt. Bei der ersten Fahrt war Shahbaz Sharif (Chief Minister of Punjab) mit dabei.

Die TCKP organisiert eine Vintage Auto Rally von Karachi nach Peshawar

Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhuntkhwa (TCKP ) is organising the Vinatge Car Rally from Karachi to Peshawar in collaboration with LandRover and Vintage Car Club Pakistan. This year the Karachi-Khyber Vintage and Classic car show will once again conclude at Peshawar on 5th December 2015.

The rally shall be starting from Karachi on 24th November 2015, about 30-40 vintage and classic cars from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad will be reaching Peshawar on 4th December 2015, the car show is to be held on 5th December 2015 at Peshawar Services Club from 11am to 4pm, about 60 local cars/jeeps from Peshawar will also be participating in the event.


The Abasin Train Safari - November 2015

The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP), in collaboration with Pakistan Railways and Sehrai Tours undertook an inimitable day long safari train tour from Peshawar to Attock Khurd and the adjacent historical sites in commemoration of Allama Iqbal Day. The Abasin Train Safari is a study-cum- fun filled tour that was thoroughly enjoyed by more than 70 students from different schools of Peshawar. The train began its journey, leaving Cantt Railway Station at exactly 9am, on a beautiful cloudy morning towards Attock Khurd. While reaching Attock Khurd, the students accompanied by their teachers were briefed about the historical significance of the Railway Bridge and station along with other historical sites.. The tour was in connection with a unique scheme that is planned by the Tourism Department to attract more tourists to the unique and joyful train excursion.

According to the scheme, train trips will be arranged on special days of the year. The next train tour in December 2015 has been themed as Quaid-e-Azam Day, January 2016 as New Year Celebration, February 5, 2016 as Kashmir Day, March 23, 2016 as Pakistan Day and the excursion in April has been entitled as Spring Festival. According to this innovative plan, departure dates will be fixed in the first week of the month.

Total capacity of the parlor car No. 2705 is 70 guests and the ticket price is Rs1500 per seat. The tickets will be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre located close to the historic Peshawar Museum. The standard package includes welcome pipe band at the railway station, refreshment on board, and at site folk music display. The officials have also decided that the scheduled trips from Peshawar to Attock Khurd will be via safari train while coming back will be via road. Previously, the TCKP has undertaken many train rides to the Attock Khurd and historic sites which were enjoyed by many families, students, youth and people of all ages. The aim of the activity is to revitalize the train trip to historical sites to promote the importance and awareness of tourism among the public and build a baseline for the domestic tourism.
